I don’t lead from the sidelines.
I’ve spent more than 15 years walking alongside leaders as they navigate change, strengthen culture, and turn vision into sustainable impact.
Turning vision into day-to-day execution
I am a leadership and organizational development coach who specializes in one-on-one and small-group coaching for leaders across industries, from nonprofits and higher education to government, construction, and mission-driven businesses. I work in person or remotely nationwide, helping leaders translate vision into day-to-day execution through calm, repeatable processes: clear roles and routines, practical KPI scorecards, steady leadership cadences, and board or stakeholder-ready reporting.
I partner with executives, managers, and emerging leaders to strengthen decision-making, communication, accountability, and culture, all without overwhelming teams with complicated systems. My coaching blends strategic clarity with real-world tools leaders can apply immediately, whether the goal is improving team performance, stabilizing operations, navigating change, or building a healthier workplace.
Grounded in Triple Loop Leadership
My work is grounded in my Triple Loop Leadership framework, an approach that helps leaders move beyond quick fixes to develop deeper self-awareness, adaptive thinking, and culture-shaping habits that last. I wrote about it in Reimagining Learning: The Power of Triple Loop Leadership, which translates the framework into practical insights and applications for leaders who want to build resilient teams and high-trust organizations.
Teaching, research, and service
In addition to coaching, I am a professor who teaches leadership and justice courses, and I serve on local boards and dissertation committees. Staying close to the classroom and current research keeps the tools I bring into every coaching relationship sharp and grounded.
Research and lived practice, brought together.
Still asking better questions, just with sand in my shoes.
When I am not coaching, writing, or in front of a classroom, you will usually find me near the water. A good beach day, a good burger, and a little sunshine keep the perspective fresh, and remind me that leadership lessons show up everywhere, not just in the boardroom.
